for over 15 years
With his striking resemblence to the General, broad knowledge of Cavalry tactics, and fierce field commanding remniscent of Forrest himself, Randy Payne takes pride in his impression. And with a new goal in mind, Forrests Command Escort is now being formed in Central North Carolina.
Active recruiting is now taking place for the 2008 reenacting season, with the goal being a group of men who want to train and ride with Forrest. No cowboys here, this group will pay respect to not only General Forrest, but to the Confederate States of America, and to the honor of those soldiers who fell for the Confederacy.
